Great Weekend for SRU Athletics

This weekend was a great weekend for Slippery Rock Athletics! The women's basketball team won both of their games. The team is now 2-0 and this is the first time since the 1997-1998 season that they started off 2-0. The Men's basketball also won their season opener at Virginia State. The Slippery Rock football team beat West Chester to become back-to-back PSAC Champs on Saturday. I couldn't go to the game, but I fortunately was able to watch it on tv, and it was very exciting!

Yay for Slippery Rock! Rock athletics has excellent talent all around. I'm glad that we go to a University that is behind that athletics 100%. There is a lot of school spirit. It is nice to have so much support for all the time and practice we put in. Makes it all worth it.

Great to see Rock athletics doing so well. Cool to see teams that work so hard get what they worked for. As well as the football team is doing I wouldn't be surprised if they made some noise in the national tournament.
